Nitin Gadkari Warns of Imminent World War Amid Global Geopolitical Instability

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, delivered a severe cautionary message on Sunday, highlighting the potential onset of a World War due to the current global geopolitical tensions. At the book launch of Beyond Borders, Gadkari pointed to the conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, as well as Israel and Iran, as catalysts driving the world towards instability.
Gadkari remarked during the event that the prevailing circumstances suggest the possibility of a World War erupting at any moment due to these active conflicts. He stressed that the growing tendencies of authoritarianism and dictatorial behavior among global superpowers are undermining essential values of coordination, harmony, and love, which are fundamental to peaceful coexistence.
Highlighting the significant human and economic impacts of the wars in Europe and the Middle East, Gadkari drew attention to the decreasing effectiveness of global governance systems in safeguarding humanity. He noted that the advancements in warfare technology, particularly with the use of missiles and drones, are intensifying the risks, making conventional military equipment such as tanks and fighter jets increasingly obsolete.
“In this context, it has become challenging to protect humanity. Frequently, missiles are launched on civilian areas, creating a serious issue that necessitates global discourse,” he stated.
The Union Minister urged the global community to quickly engage in discussions and develop future policies in response to these rising tensions. He also referenced India's spiritual heritage, noting that the country, known for figures like Buddha, has historically advocated for truth, non-violence, and peace on the international stage.
“While it may not be appropriate to say, the reality is that this situation is gradually leading to destruction. The authoritarianism and dictatorship by superpowers are causing coordination, harmony, and love to disappear,” Gadkari concluded.
