Lt Gen VMB Krishnan Evaluates Security and Readiness of Indian Armed Forces in Nagaland
Lieutenant General VMB Krishnan, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Command, recently conducted a visit to the Spear Corps and the Headquarters of Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) located in Nagaland. The purpose of his visit was to assess the current security situation and evaluate the operational readiness in the region.

During his inspection, the Army Commander received updates on the security climate, the distribution of forces, and the steps being taken to sustain operational alertness within the area.

Lt Gen Krishnan took the opportunity to meet with troops stationed in forward positions. He expressed his admiration for their professionalism, dedication, and steadfast commitment to ensuring national security.

The visit underscored the Indian Army's ongoing dedication to maintaining a high degree of operational preparedness and fostering effective coordination in the strategically critical North Eastern region.
