CRPF DG G P Singh Honours Asian Games Gold Medallist Lovlina Borgohain in New Delhi
New Delhi, October 6, 2026: Central Reserve Police Force Director General G P Singh felicitated Olympic medalist and World Champion boxer Lovlina Borgohain at the CRPF Force Headquarters after her gold-medal win at the 20th Asian Games 2026.
Borgohain clinched the women’s 75 kg title at the Games, improving on the silver medal she had won at the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2023. With this latest triumph, she became only the second Indian woman boxer to secure an Asian Games gold medal.
At the felicitation ceremony, the CRPF leadership praised Borgohain’s achievement and recognised the discipline, determination and perseverance that shaped her success on the international stage.

Borgohain also met CRPF athletes, including members of the Force’s boxing team, and interacted with them about her sporting journey. During the exchange, she shared her experiences and urged them to stay committed to training and work towards stronger performances in national and international competitions.

Addressing the gathering, DG G P Singh asked CRPF sportspersons to take inspiration from Borgohain’s grit, dedication and sporting path. He encouraged them to pursue excellence with resolve and to bring further laurels to the Force and the country.
The interaction gave CRPF athletes, particularly those in the boxing team, an opportunity to meet one of India’s most accomplished boxers and served as a motivational moment for the Force’s sporting contingent.
