Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta Evaluates Advanced Training Infrastructure at School of Artillery
On July 3, 2026, Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command, paid a visit to the School of Artillery. The purpose of his visit was to assess the training facilities and engage in discussions about the future of technology-driven military education.
During his time at the institution, Lt Gen Sengupta delivered a speech titled "Re-imagining Operational Art for Multi-Domain Operations." In his address, he highlighted the changing nature of modern warfare, stressing the importance of innovation, adaptability, and technology-enhanced military capabilities to address new challenges on the battlefield.

Further into the visit, Lt Gen Sengupta examined the advanced training facilities at the school. These facilities are designed to improve battlefield monitoring, precision targeting, and extended-range firepower, ensuring that artillery personnel are prepared for future engagements.

Conversations were also held between the Army Commander and Lieutenant General N. S. Sarna, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, the Commandant of the School of Artillery. They discussed enhancing training methods through technology to build a force that is ready for future challenges and operationally versatile.

The visit emphasized the ongoing efforts of the Indian Army to modernize its training institutions. The focus remains on equipping leaders and artillery personnel to succeed in increasingly complex multi-domain operational environments.
