Lt Gen H. S. Vandra Reviews Technological Advancements at MCTE Mhow

Lieutenant General H. S. Vandra, who serves as the General Officer Commanding of the Madhya Bharat Area and the Senior Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals, visited the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) in Mhow on July 3, 2026. The purpose of the visit was to assess the institution's initiatives that are driven by technology and its capabilities for future warfare.

During his visit, Lt Gen Vandra examined several advanced projects and specialized centers that focus on various cutting-edge technologies. These include drone fabrication and training, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Technologies, and advancements in 5G/6G communications, among other emerging fields. These initiatives support national technology missions as well as the modernization efforts of the Indian Army.

The General Officer engaged with Regimental Commanders to discuss strategies for operational deployment and the efficient use of Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities in a multi-domain battlespace that is continually evolving.

This visit underscored the Indian Army's ongoing focus on embracing emerging technologies, fostering innovation, and bolstering operational capabilities, all aimed at cultivating a technologically advanced and future-ready military force.
