The Indian Navy is preparing to integrate INS Taragiri (F41) into the Eastern Naval Command fleet, marking a significant step in the nation's naval modernization and domestic shipbuilding initiatives.

INS Taragiri is the fourth vessel in the Nilgiri-class (Project 17A) of stealth frigates, characterized by:

The ship, constructed by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, had its keel laid in September 2020, with the delivery set for 2025.
