Air Marshal MS Sridhar Enhances Medical and Operational Readiness During Mhow Hospital Visit

Air Marshal MS Sridhar, who serves as the Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, paid a visit to the Military Hospital and Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinics in Mhow. His career in the Medical Branch began on December 30, 1986. This visit emphasized the historical and strategic significance of Mhow, a key training center for the Indian Army, where the former British Military Hospital now functions as part of the Army Public School.

Throughout his visit, Air Marshal Sridhar engaged with young Medical Officers and Specialists, encouraging them to maintain a high standard of patient care characterized by professionalism and empathy. The ECHS, operational since 2003, aligns with this objective by delivering healthcare through 427 polyclinics nationwide. These clinics utilize service medical facilities, government hospitals, and private institutions to offer cashless treatment to ex-servicemen and their families.

During the visit, the Air Marshal examined the hospital's medical resources and commended the Mhow Healers team for maintaining the high standards of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). His itinerary included discussions with the Commandants of prominent Army institutions such as the Army War College, Infantry School, and Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, thereby fostering a spirit of cooperation and dedication to operational excellence. With a population of 85,023, Mhow remains crucial in preparing and sustaining the Indian Army's operational readiness.

This visit underscores the ongoing initiatives of the Indian Armed Forces to bolster their medical response capabilities in both battlefield and crisis situations, ensuring that personnel receive advanced healthcare support in high-risk conditions.
