Young Officers Experience Advanced Military Technologies at MCEME Secunderabad
A group of 58 Young Officers (YOs) currently undergoing Regimental Orientation Training at 1 EME Centre recently visited the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) in Secunderabad. The purpose of their visit was to familiarize themselves with advanced military technologies and to learn about evolving concepts in modern warfare.

The visit began with an address by Major General Puneet Kapoor, who serves as the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor at MCEME. During his speech, he discussed several key aspects of future warfare, including the increasing importance of asymmetric and non-contact warfare, the integration of Artificial Intelligence and drone technologies, and lessons drawn from recent conflicts.
Major General Kapoor pointed out the crucial attributes required for future battlefields, such as physical resilience, mental agility, ongoing innovation, adaptability, and strong intellectual capabilities to manage complex operational environments.

During their visit, the officers explored various faculties within MCEME, where they received briefings on advanced training methodologies, current indigenisation efforts, and cutting-edge laboratories dedicated to drones and robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and additive manufacturing. The officers were also introduced to modern systems that support weaponry, aviation, electronic warfare equipment, and communication technologies.

The visit underscored the pivotal role of the Corps of EME in fostering innovation and maintaining combat systems effectively.
