Udhampur, September 18, 2026: The General Officer Commanding of the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps, along with the General Officer Commanding of Delta Force, visited the Brattal area of Udhampur district on Thursday to assess the situation on the ground and review ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
The visit came as security forces continued their operations in the area, where commanders examined the evolving security environment, the operational picture and the steps being taken by troops to sustain pressure on terrorist activity. The review was aimed at ensuring that formations deployed in the hinterland remain capable of responding quickly, in a coordinated manner and with decisive force to any emerging threat.
During the inspection, the senior commanders interacted with personnel deployed on the ground and took stock of the security situation as operations continued. They also reviewed the measures in place to maintain a sustained operational tempo in the region, where counter-terrorism tasks remain an ongoing priority.
The Corps Commander commended White Knight Corps troops for the successful neutralisation of two terrorists during the ongoing operations. He praised the personnel for their resolute action, high morale and commitment while operating in what the Army described as a challenging security environment.
Headquartered at Nagrota, the White Knight Corps is responsible for strategically important areas of the Jammu region and regularly conducts counter-terrorism and security operations in coordination with other security agencies. The latest visit highlighted the Army’s focus on vigilance, operational preparedness and close coordination among formations deployed in sensitive areas.
