Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsyan's Visit to Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow: Advancing Defence Innovation
Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, AVSM, NM, who serves as the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, made a visit to the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) in Mhow on January 21, 2026.
During his visit, Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi, VSM, the Commandant of MCTE, presented a briefing to Vice Admiral Vatsayan. This briefing focused on the institution's various initiatives aimed at collaborating with academic institutions, start-ups, and government bodies. Highlighted were MCTE's efforts in promoting innovation, strengthening research partnerships, and expediting advancements in communication and electronic warfare technologies.

Vice Admiral Vatsayan expressed his admiration for MCTE's substantial contributions to the progress of indigenous defence technologies. He noted the institution's crucial role in achieving technical self-reliance and furthering the modernization goals of the Armed Forces.

The visit highlighted the necessity of inter-service cooperation and partnership in developing innovative defence capabilities, aligning with India's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat in the defence industry.
