Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla Opens New Residential and Sports Facilities at Eastern Naval Command

Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, has opened two significant welfare and infrastructure projects designed to improve the quality of life for naval personnel.

The first of these projects is the Mahendragiri Block, a modern residential complex equipped to house 300 personnel. This facility offers contemporary living accommodations, a tastefully furnished lounge, and a rooftop seating area that offers a sweeping view of Simhachalam Hill.

Additionally, Vice Admiral Bhalla inaugurated the Dega Sports Delta, a sports and recreation complex designed to support the physical fitness and overall well-being of naval staff.

This sports facility includes two pickleball courts, a cricket practice pitch with an automatic bowling machine, and a beach volleyball court, providing diverse recreational options for personnel and their families.

The opening of these facilities underscores the Indian Navy's ongoing commitment to enhancing the living conditions of its personnel, supporting fitness and mental health, and providing recreational activities. These efforts aim to ensure that sailors are physically prepared, motivated, and effective in their demanding roles.

Officials have remarked that these developments align with the Navy's broader objective of fostering a modern and supportive living environment for its members, emphasizing that operational success is closely tied to the welfare and well-being of its servicemen and women.

The introduction of Mahendragiri Block and Dega Sports Delta is anticipated to significantly elevate living standards and recreational facilities at the Eastern Naval Command, reinforcing the Navy's dedication to its personnel and their families.
