Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla Assesses Operational Readiness of Submarine Rescue Unit (East)
Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, carried out an inspection of the Submarine Rescue Unit (East). His visit focused on assessing the unit’s operational readiness, examining recent missions, and evaluating future engagements in the vital area of submarine rescue operations.

During his time there, Vice Admiral Bhalla received a detailed briefing on the Dedicated Submarine Rescue Vessel (DSRV) system complex. Additionally, he was informed about the base's infrastructure and the unit’s growing ability to promptly address submarine emergencies. He engaged with both officers and sailors to understand their operational procedures and readiness.

Admiring the crew’s professionalism and operational skills, Vice Admiral Bhalla specifically praised their performance during Exercise XPR-25.
