Vadodara Student Innovates Solar-Powered Uniform for Indian Soldiers

A 21-year-old fashion design student from Vadodara, named Khushi Pathan, has developed a solar-powered uniform for Indian soldiers. This innovative design, part of her research project, will enable soldiers to charge their electronic devices on the move, ensuring constant connectivity with their units.
Khushi embarked on this project in February of this year, dedicating six months to rigorous development before completing the design. She gathered feedback from a group of 10 to 12 civilians and 4 to 5 military officers before finalizing the prototype.
The uniform features discreet spaces for wiring, allowing it to remain light, flexible, and adhere to military standards. Currently in the testing phase, this solar-powered uniform is anticipated to improve operational efficiency for soldiers in the field.
Khushi expressed optimism that her creation will soon be adopted by the Indian Army, marking a significant step towards technological advancement and self-reliance in military gear.
