UPSC Releases CDS 2 2025 Cut-Off Marks for IMA, INA, AFA and OTA
The Union Public Service Commission has released the cut-off marks for the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2025, setting out the final selection thresholds for the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy for both men and women.
The newly published figures show the minimum qualifying standard in each subject remained 20% across all academies, while the marks obtained by the last qualified candidate and the aggregate score of the last recommended candidate differed from one academy to another.

Among the major academies, the Air Force Academy recorded the highest written examination score for the last qualified candidate at 132.51 marks, with the last recommended candidate securing an aggregate of 263.67 out of 600. The Indian Military Academy followed with a written cut-off of 124.11 and a final aggregate of 249.61 out of 600.
The Indian Naval Academy’s cut-off was lower in comparison, with the last qualified candidate scoring 109.23 in the written examination and the last recommended candidate finishing at 238.50 out of 600.
For the Officers Training Academy, where the written examination is conducted for a maximum of 200 marks and the final aggregate is calculated out of 400, the men’s category closed at 80.01 marks in the written test and 162.84 out of 400 in aggregate. In the women’s category, the last qualified candidate scored 98.06 in the written examination, while the final aggregate cut-off stood at 193.01 out of 400.
The CDS examination remains one of the main entry routes for graduates seeking commission in the Indian Armed Forces. The academy-wise cut-offs released by the UPSC provide a clear picture of how competitive the final selection process is across the IMA, INA, AFA and OTA streams.
