Tri-Services PMOC Delegation Enhances Joint Maintenance and Logistics at Chandimandir Visit

A delegation from the Tri-Services Principal Maintenance Officers' Committee, which includes officers from the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, the Indian Army, the Indian Navy, and the Indian Air Force, recently visited the Chandimandir Military Station. The visit aimed to bolster inter-service cooperation in areas such as maintenance, logistics, and sustainment.

During this visit, the delegation engaged in discussions with Lieutenant General Harjeet Singh Sahi, who holds the titles PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, and serves as the Chief of Staff at the Headquarters Western Command, along with other senior military officials.

The primary agenda of the discussions was to improve coordination among the three branches of the military. This included the exchange of best practices and operational experiences, specifically in maintenance management, logistics support, and sustainment planning. The meeting served as a platform for addressing common challenges and exploring avenues for increased integration and efficiency.

Topics of deliberation included strategies for boosting equipment availability, refining maintenance procedures, and enhancing logistical support systems to meet the modern demands of military operations.

The visit underscored the growing focus on jointness and interoperability within the Armed Forces. The aim is to develop integrated support structures that can sustain multi-domain operations.
