Suryakiran Aerobatic Display to Captivate Hisar in "Know Your Forces" Campaign

The Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) of the Indian Air Force is scheduled to captivate audiences in Hisar on Sunday, September 21, as part of the ongoing "Know Your Forces" initiative led by the Sapta Shakti Command.
The team will perform using the advanced BAE Hawk Mk.132 aircraft, executing precise aerobatic maneuvers and leaving trails of tricolour smoke in the sky. This display aims to strengthen the connection between the military and civilians while also encouraging young people to consider careers in defense.

Before the event, team members engaged with students from Army Public School in Hisar, offering insights into the intricacies of aerobatic flying. The main event is anticipated to attract dignitaries, military veterans, students, and members of the public from the region.
Established in 1996 and currently stationed at Bidar Air Force Station in Karnataka, the Suryakiran team has been impressing audiences both in India and internationally for nearly 30 years. Since 2015, they have been flying specially modified Hawk Mk.132 aircraft, equipped with smoke canisters to enhance their aerial displays.

The Sapta Shakti Command, based in Jaipur, has traditionally concentrated on the western border since its inception in 2005. However, this initiative represents a move towards greater public engagement.
