In a noteworthy advancement for India's defense healthcare system, Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, serving as the Director General Medical Services, made an official visit to the 23 Wing Air Force on June 24. Having served 36 distinguished years in the Armed Forces Medical Services, Surg Vice Adm Sarin possesses advanced expertise in Radiodiagnosis, Radiation Oncology, and Gamma Knife Surgery. Her education from prestigious institutions like Tata Memorial Hospital and the University of Pittsburgh has prepared her to steer strategic health assessments across the armed forces.

The 23 Wing, historically connected to the renowned "Flying Tigers" and currently engaged in combat search and rescue operations, is a pivotal component of India’s aerial defense. This visit underscores the essential harmony between frontline combat units and their supporting medical systems.
