Surgeon Vice Adm Kavita Sahai Strengthens Naval and Coast Guard Coordination in Chennai Visit
Surgeon Vice Admiral Kavita Sahai, SM, VSM, who serves as the Director General Medical Services (Navy), visited INS Adyar, the Headquarters of the Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Naval Area, along with other naval facilities in Chennai from November 26 to 27, 2025. The purpose of her visit was to enhance coordination, medical readiness, and integration within the naval forces.
During her inspection, Admiral Sahai also toured the Military Hospital and the Coast Guard Air Station in Chennai. She engaged with officers, sailors, and medical personnel, commending them for their professionalism and commitment to maintaining high standards in both operational and medical fields.
Her visit emphasized the Indian Navy's dedication to promoting joint operations, advancing welfare programs, and cultivating a culture of excellence throughout its various units.
