Air Marshal Jasvir Singh Mann Takes Command as Head of Southern Air Command

On July 1, 2026, Air Marshal Jasvir Singh Mann, AVSM, VM, took over as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Southern Air Command of the Indian Air Force.

With his commissioning into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on December 16, 1989, Air Marshal Mann brings more than 30 years of significant operational, command, and leadership experience. His distinguished career includes numerous important command and staff roles throughout the Air Force.

Before assuming his current role, he was the Senior Air Staff Officer (SASO) at the Headquarters Western Air Command, where he was instrumental in boosting operational readiness and air power capabilities.

In his new position, Air Marshal Mann is anticipated to enhance the operational efficiency, combat preparedness, and strategic capabilities of the Southern Air Command, which is essential for protecting India's southern airspace and maritime interests.
