Surgeon Commander Shilpa Mandal Showcases AFMS Expertise at World Congress of Psychiatry 2025 in Prague
Surgeon Commander Shilpa Mandal, a Senior Resident in Psychiatry at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune, participated in the World Congress of Psychiatry (WCP 2025) hosted in Prague, Czech Republic, as a representative of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).
During this esteemed international conference, Surg Cdr Mandal contributed to two symposiums, focusing on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and the role of Artificial Intelligence in Psychiatry. Her presentations highlighted the latest innovations and advancements in clinical practices.

In addition, she presented two e-posters on topics such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) & Mental Health and Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) in Gambling Disorder. These presentations showcased India's increasing contributions to international mental health research and the integration of technology into psychiatric practices.
Her involvement in the congress highlights the professional expertise, academic leadership, and global engagement of the AFMS in mental health sciences.
