Specialized K9 Training Module Completed by NSG for CAPFs and State Police Agencies
The National Security Guard's elite K9 Training Wing at Manesar conducted a detailed K9 Training Module from September 17 to October 12, 2025. This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Home Affairs' (MHA) vision of fostering inter-agency cooperation under the motto 'Duty to Share'.
The four-week program was designed to enhance operational collaboration and hone the professional skills of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and state police organizations. A group of 29 K9 trainers from CISF, Jharkhand Police, Delhi Police, and Rajasthan Police participated in advanced training sessions focused on specialized K9 disciplines.
The training module included intensive lessons on Vapour Wake Detection, Explosive Detection, Tracker, and Assault K9 operations. These sessions were geared towards real-world applications in counter-terrorism and law enforcement, preparing participants to manage complex security scenarios in both urban and hostile settings.

This effort highlights the MHA's dedication to unified capacity building and operational excellence among India's law enforcement agencies. It also promotes the principle of 'One Force, One Goal – National Security', ensuring tactical K9 units nationwide function with precision, discipline, and interoperability.
