Southern Naval Command Recognizes Excellence at Annual Afloat Awards 2026
The Southern Naval Command (SNC) recently organized the Annual Afloat Awards Function 2026 in Kochi, aimed at acknowledging the operational success, combat proficiency, and professional achievements of Indian Navy vessels.
During the event, Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C) of the Southern Naval Command, awarded trophies to several ships that showed exceptional performance in various operational areas over the past year.
INS Sharda earned the distinguished Best Ship trophy for its outstanding operational achievements, while INS Shardul was honored with the Most Spirited Ship award, reflecting its remarkable professionalism, teamwork, and operational dedication.
