Southern Naval Command Honors Top Trainees at Long ND Course Valedictory Ceremony
The Southern Naval Command recently held a Valedictory Function to celebrate the conclusion of the Long Navigation Direction (ND) Course, marking the completion of advanced training for naval officers.
The comprehensive course offered trainee officers a thorough exploration of various navigation techniques, including modern operational methods, hands-on training with advanced simulators, and traditional practices such as astro navigation. This approach blended technology-driven education with classical maritime skills.

Trainees were encouraged to cultivate innovative solutions and engage in projects, under the mentorship of experienced instructors, to boost their professional expertise.
Recognition was given at the event, with the Best Project Trophy awarded for an exceptional project on Buoyage Systems, while Lieutenant Commander Amogh Chawla was acknowledged as the Best Trainee in Professional Subjects.

The ceremony was graced by senior officers, notably the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Naval Command, who praised the trainees for their dedication and pursuit of excellence.

This event underscores the Indian Navy's unwavering commitment to fostering professional excellence, advanced training, and leadership skills among future naval leaders.
