Southern Command Triumphs in 2026–27 Army Inter Command Athletics Championship
Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, the Army Commander of Southern Command, recently honored the Southern Command Athletics Team for their remarkable success at the Army Inter Command Athletics Championship 2026–27. The championship, organized by the Indian Army Sports Control Board, took place at the Artillery Centre in Hyderabad.
The Southern Command team claimed the championship title, showcasing superior athletic prowess, discipline, and teamwork against competitors from various Army Commands nationwide.
Concluding the event, the Southern Command team secured a notable collection of 23 medals, including 8 Gold, 12 Silver, and 3 Bronze, underscoring their constant excellence in various track and field disciplines.
