Southern Command Showcases Tech-Driven Advancements During Nasirabad Inspection

Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, conducted an assessment of operational preparedness and technological advancements during his recent visit to the Nasirabad Military Station.

During his visit, Lt. Gen. Seth engaged with the Ghatak Strikers Brigade, which presented its improved combat abilities and infrastructure developments, highlighting insights gained from Operation Sindoor. The brigade emphasized its ability to adapt to multi-domain warfare and its implementation of modern technologies.

At the Sabse Behtar Brigade, Lt. Gen. Seth was briefed on the newly introduced Tech-Driven Engineer Support System, which is designed to provide advanced engineering solutions for combat in desert environments. This development aligns with the Army's strategy to increase technological integration for enhanced mission success.

Praising both brigades, Lt. Gen. Seth encouraged the troops to maintain professionalism, ensure readiness for missions, and continue utilizing innovative strategies to address emerging threats.

Established in 1895, the Southern Command has been integral to key operations, including the liberation of Goa in 1961 and the 1971 war. Lt. Gen. Seth, who assumed command on July 1, 2024, possesses extensive operational experience and has been trained at the National Defence Academy and France’s Collège interarmées de Défense.

The focus on technological integration coincides with global military trends, where the adoption of artificial intelligence and advanced systems have led to significant efficiency improvements. This visit highlights the Indian Army's forward-looking stance in preparing for future security challenges amid evolving multi-domain warfare scenarios.
