Southern Command Commemorates 78th Army Day, Honours Fallen Heroes and Veteran Achievers
The Indian Army's Southern Command marked the 78th Army Day with a solemn tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in service to the nation. The event was presided over by Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, alongside other officers and soldiers of the command.

Lt Gen Seth, along with all ranks, paid their respects to the fallen heroes, reinforcing the Army's enduring principles of honour, duty, and sacrifice. The ceremony drew inspiration from the courage and dedication shown by generations of soldiers, motivating continued selfless service and a steadfast commitment to protecting India's sovereignty and integrity.

Veteran Achievers Honoured
During the Army Day celebrations, five veterans were recognized by the Army Commander with the Veteran Achievers Awards for their outstanding contributions beyond their military service. The awardees were acknowledged for their efforts in several areas:
