SBI CME Soldierathon 3.0: A Milestone in Unity and Patriotism with Record-breaking Participation
Pune, November 2025 — The third edition of the SBI CME Soldierathon 3.0 concluded with a memorable display of unity and enthusiasm, bringing together serving soldiers, veterans, injured heroes, families, and citizens in a celebration of fitness, patriotism, and solidarity.
Organized by Fitistan – Ek Fit Bharat in partnership with the College of Military Engineering (CME) of the Indian Army, the event served as a dynamic tribute to the Fit India Movement, an initiative championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event successfully integrated discipline, endurance, and national pride on a single platform.
Record Participation Across Categories
This year, the Soldierathon attracted 8,720 runners, a record turnout across four distinct categories:
21 km Half Marathon
10 km Run
5 km Run
Cheer Buddy Category
Participants from all over India, including soldiers, their families, and fitness enthusiasts, united to promote health, cohesion, and respect for the armed forces, living the motto of “Run for Soldiers, Run with Soldiers.”
Giving Back to the Brave
In alignment with its mission to support India's heroes, Soldierathon 3.0 donated ₹5,00,000 to the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre (PRC) in Kirkee, supporting the rehabilitation and welfare of injured soldiers and veterans. This gesture was a mark of gratitude to those who have made sacrifices for the nation.
Launch of SENA – A Movement Beyond Fashion
A significant feature of the event was the introduction of SENA, a lifestyle initiative inspired by the values of Soldierathon. SENA aims to empower wounded soldiers, support military families, and foster a sustainable wellness community, bridging the gap between civilians and the armed forces through shared values of fitness and resilience.
National Half Marathon Championship
The event also marked the inaugural National Half Marathon Championship, where elite runners competed alongside defense personnel and citizens. CTW CME Pune secured the Team Championship Trophy with an impressive average time of 1 hour, 22 minutes, and 19 seconds, winning a cash prize of ₹1,00,000.
The winners were honored by Lt General Ramesh, Commandant, CME Pune, who praised the participants for their outstanding performance and underscored Soldierathon as a platform where “fitness meets patriotism.”
