Retired Brigadier Mukesh Kumar Joshi Fatally Hit by Stray Bullet Amid Nightclub Dispute in Dehradun
A fatal incident in Dehradun has resulted in the death of Brigadier (Retd) Mukesh Kumar Joshi, who was struck by a stray bullet during a morning walk. The bullet was fired amid a violent confrontation between two groups connected to a nightclub altercation.
The police reported that the altercation originated at a nightclub called Zen-G, where a disagreement over a bill escalated. Members of one faction allegedly damaged a vehicle belonging to the opposing group.
As the dispute continued into the early morning, a vehicle chase ensued with each group pursuing the other in a Scorpio N and a Fortuner. This led to an exchange of gunfire on the roads.
During the chase, gunfire was reportedly opened by one of the suspects, leading to further retaliatory shots.
In the midst of the shootout, a stray bullet unfortunately hit 74-year-old Brigadier (Retd) Mukesh Kumar Joshi, who was walking with friends. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he later passed away from his injuries.
