Young Army Ordnance Officers Explore Advanced Military Technologies at MCEME Secunderabad
On April 8, 2026, a group of 30 Young Officers (YOs) who are currently undergoing orientation training at the Army Ordnance Corps Centre in Secunderabad visited the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) in Secunderabad. The purpose of their visit was to become acquainted with the latest advancements in military technologies and training systems.
During their visit, the officers received briefings on advanced training methodologies, significant indigenisation efforts, and the technological innovations underway at MCEME. They explored cutting-edge training laboratories that specialize in drones, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and additive manufacturing.

The officers were also informed about MCEME's critical contributions to the maintenance and innovation of weapon systems, aviation platforms, electronic warfare equipment, and communication technologies. This emphasizes its role as a leading technical training facility for the Indian Army.

The knowledge gained during the visit is expected to greatly enhance the officers’ understanding of contemporary warfare technologies and the pivotal role logistics play. This experience will aid them in implementing more effective strategies in inventory management, supply chain efficiency, and operational readiness in their future roles.
