Maj Gen Bharat Mehtani Reviews Training and Honors Capt Vikram Batra at Chandigarh NCC HQ
On April 8, 2026, Major General Bharat Mehtani, serving as the Additional Director General of the PHHP&C Directorate, paid a visit to the NCC Group Headquarters in Chandigarh. His visit was aimed at assessing training standards and engaging with the cadets.
The visit was initiated with a ceremonial Guard of Honour and was followed by a wreath-laying ceremony honoring Captain Vikram Batra, a former NCC cadet and celebrated hero of the Kargil War.

During his time at the headquarters, Major General Mehtani was introduced to the officers and received a comprehensive briefing on the operations and projects of the NCC Group Headquarters. He also toured several training and simulator facilities to observe cadets showcasing their skills and training practices.
The General engaged with the cadets, expressing admiration for their enthusiasm and achievements. He took special note of the cadets who had excelled in various areas, highlighting their accomplishments.

The visit concluded with an interactive tea session where officers, staff, and cadets participated, promoting a sense of motivation and mentorship.
