Rear Admiral Srinivas Maddula Takes Over as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff for Foreign Cooperation and Intelligence

Rear Admiral Srinivas Maddula has assumed the role of Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Foreign Cooperation & Intelligence) [ACNS (FCI)], signifying a significant change in leadership within the Indian Navy's strategic and diplomatic sectors. He steps into this position following his previous role as the Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST) at the Southern Naval Command headquarters.

RAdm Maddula is a distinguished Flag Officer, bringing a wealth of operational and administrative expertise to his new post. Throughout his career, he has led frontline warships, including a missile vessel and an advanced stealth frigate. His administrative roles have seen him lead critical directorates, such as Principal Director of Network Centric Operations and Principal Director of Naval Intelligence, where he was instrumental in fortifying India’s maritime information framework and fostering collaboration with allied navies.

In his previous capacities, he played a key role in enhancing international maritime alliances, advancing interoperability, and contributing to cooperative security measures in the Indo-Pacific region.

In his role as ACNS (FCI), RAdm Maddula will steer the Indian Navy’s efforts in global engagement, with an emphasis on strategic partnerships, international cooperation, maritime intelligence exchange, and the expansion of India's naval diplomacy on a global scale.

The Flag Officer is a graduate of the Naval War College in Goa and a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Marine Corps Command & Staff College, credentials that underscore his comprehensive academic and strategic expertise.

His appointment is timely as the Indian Navy is significantly increasing its international engagement, participating in sophisticated exercises, strengthening partnerships, and contributing to a secure and stable maritime domain.
