Maj Gen Mandeep Saini Takes Over as Additional Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services (Education & Services)
Major General Mandeep Saini took on the role of Additional Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (Education & Services) at the office of the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) on July 1, 2026.
Graduating from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune and recognized nationally in the field of radiology, Maj Gen Saini transitioned to this esteemed position after serving successfully as Brigadier (Administration) at AFMC Pune.
Throughout his distinguished military career, which extends over three decades, the General Officer has occupied several pivotal clinical and administrative roles within the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). His vast experience is indicative of his outstanding professional skill, forward-thinking leadership, and a steadfast dedication to improving military healthcare.
In his new capacity, Maj Gen Saini is expected to bolster medical education, manage healthcare administration, and enhance operational medical support within the Armed Forces. This will further augment the AFMS's ability to deliver top-tier medical services to current military personnel, veterans, and their families.
