Rajputana Rifles Regimental Centre in Delhi Cantonment Hosts RIMC Cadets, Sikkim Children
The Rajputana Rifles Regimental Centre in Delhi Cantonment hosted cadets of the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, along with children from Sikkim, as part of the Midterm Hike and National Integration Tour.
The visit was designed to give the young participants a closer look at the Indian Army’s history, traditions and ethos. It also served as an opportunity to familiarise them with military heritage while reinforcing ideas of national unity and service.

RIMC cadets took part in the visit as part of their Midterm Hike, while the children from Sikkim joined the interaction under the National Integration Tour. Together, the groups spent time at the Rajputana Rifles Regimental Centre in an engagement focused on military heritage and national integration.
Such visits are intended to connect young people with the Armed Forces and expose them to the traditions and institutional values that shape the Indian Army. For the participants, the experience offered a chance to learn directly about the culture and ethos associated with one of the Army’s regimental centres.
The National Integration Tour also created a setting for interaction among young people from different backgrounds. By bringing cadets and children from Sikkim together, the programme sought to deepen their understanding of India’s diverse social and cultural fabric.

According to the article, the experience highlighted the importance of such outreach activities in helping young Indians better understand the Armed Forces, their heritage and the broader idea of national unity.

The Rajputana Rifles Regimental Centre visit brought the two groups together for an interaction centred on the Indian Army’s traditions, the spirit of service and the role of national integration in shaping young minds.
