Platoon Commanders’ Course at Junior Leaders Wing Belagavi Concludes, Subedar Amrinder Singh Honored as Best Student
The Platoon Commanders’ Course at the Junior Leaders Wing (JLW) in Belagavi concluded on June 16, 2026, successfully wrapping up a rigorous training program aimed at enhancing leadership and military skills among junior leaders.
This course included personnel from the Indian Army and also welcomed 17 military students from friendly nations such as Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan, underscoring the institution's expanding contribution to international military cooperation and professional exchange.

The closing ceremony was led by Major General Rakesh Manocha, SM, VSM, Commander of the Junior Leaders Wing, who addressed the attendees and congratulated them on the successful completion of their training.
During the event, individuals who performed exceptionally well were honored. Subedar Amrinder Singh of the Sikh Regiment was named the Best Student of the course, recognized for his exceptional performance, leadership skills, and professional expertise.

Sergeant Sujan Ghimire from the Nepal Army received the Best Foreign Student award, acknowledging his outstanding dedication and performance during the program.
The Platoon Commanders’ Course aims to build leadership abilities, tactical skills, and decision-making capabilities in junior leaders, equipping them to command troops effectively across various operational settings.

The inclusion of military personnel from allied foreign nations further bolstered defense cooperation, fostering mutual understanding and professional ties between India's armed forces and those of partner countries.
The successful completion of the course highlighted the Junior Leaders Wing's dedication to cultivating competent military leaders and enhancing international military collaboration through professional training excellence.
