PIB Clarifies False Reports on Rafale Jets and Pilot, Highlights Deepfake Threat

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has issued an official statement refuting online claims about the loss of four Rafale fighter jets and the disappearance of Lieutenant Shivangi Singh. These reports, part of a deepfake video campaign, falsely target Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh of the Air Force.
Widespread misinformation on social media incorrectly alleged an incident involving India's Rafale aircraft. The PIB has clarified that no such event took place, confirming that all Indian Air Force pilots are safe and that operational readiness is fully maintained.
Officials have advised the public to seek information from official sources and to be wary of manipulated media content designed to cause confusion and alarm.
This statement comes as concerns grow over deepfake videos and digital misinformation efforts aimed at India's military. The PIB has reiterated that the government is closely monitoring such content and is taking appropriate measures to protect national security information.
