OTA Chennai to Host 2025 Summer Term Passing Out Parade on September 6

The Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai is set to conduct the Passing Out Parade (POP) for the Summer Term 2025 on September 6. This event will mark the induction of officer cadets into the Indian Army.
Cadets who have undergone 49 weeks of rigorous training for the Short Service Commission, excluding those from the Army Medical Corps, will be featured in the parade. Their training regimen focused on physical conditioning, tactical exercises, military ceremonies, and sports to instill discipline, resilience, and leadership qualities.
Since its establishment in 1963, OTA Chennai has trained a vast number of officers, including the first group of women officers in 1992, maintaining its critical role in shaping future Army leaders.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on both DD National and DD Tamil at 5:30 AM, providing an opportunity for viewers to witness the transformation of cadets into commissioned officers ready to serve the country.
