OTA Chennai Showcases Cadets' Skills with Pre-Passing Out Parade Multi-Activity Display

The Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai hosted an exhilarating multi-activity exhibition on March 6, 2026. This event, held in anticipation of the upcoming Passing Out Parade, highlighted the extensive training and physical prowess of the officer cadets.

The display featured a range of dynamic demonstrations that underscored the high level of training provided at the academy. Cadets displayed remarkable physical training skills, along with the Army Martial Art Regime (AMAR), showcasing the combat readiness and discipline that future officers are expected to uphold.

Breathtaking equestrian maneuvers were part of the event, demonstrating precision in riding and coordination. Additionally, performances of Kalaripayattu, one of India's oldest martial arts traditions, were also presented.

The program culminated in a dramatic bunker-bursting combat drill, which provided a high-energy conclusion to the event and captivated the audience.

Lieutenant General Michael A.J. Fernandez, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, who is the Commandant of OTA Chennai, recognized the participants and praised them for their exceptional skills, dedication, and professionalism demonstrated throughout the event.

This multi-activity display effectively showcased the physical endurance, combat abilities, and leadership qualities fostered among the cadets as they prepare to assume their roles as officers in the Indian Army.
