NSG Hosts 74th All India Police Aquatics and Cross Country Cluster at Manesar, Adds Synchronised Diving

The National Security Guard (NSG) is hosting the 74th All India Police Aquatics & Cross Country Cluster 2026–27 at its Garrison in Manesar, bringing police athletes from across the country together for one of the major sporting events on the police calendar.

The opening ceremony was held on 1 October 2026 and was attended by Shri Brighu Srinivasan, IPS, Director General, NSG, as the Chief Guest. In his address to the athletes and participating teams, he praised their commitment and the effort required to compete at a national police sports event.

DG NSG also urged the participants to maintain the values of fair play, discipline and sportsmanship throughout the competition. His interaction with the athletes highlighted the emphasis on sporting conduct alongside competitive performance.

This year’s edition also introduced Synchronised Diving for the first time in the history of the All India Police Aquatics Cluster. The addition brings a new competitive discipline to the programme and broadens the range of aquatic events open to police athletes.

DG NSG later witnessed the finals of the competition, where he encouraged the athletes and acknowledged their performances. His presence at the concluding stages of the event offered an opportunity to recognise the competitors’ efforts on the national stage.

The competition has drawn 26 teams and 627 participants in total, including 137 women athletes. The turnout reflects representation from police forces across the country and also points to the growing participation of women in police sporting competitions.

The event serves as a national platform for police personnel to compete in aquatic and cross-country disciplines while also promoting teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. With participants drawn from different police forces, the competition continues to reflect the camaraderie associated with All India Police sports events.

By introducing Synchronised Diving and bringing together 627 athletes, including 137 women, the 2026–27 edition has expanded the scope and scale of the All India Police Aquatics Cluster at the NSG Garrison in Manesar.
