Northern Command's 'Samvad: Op Without Boundaries' Explores Future Warfare and Technology Integration

The Indian Army's Northern Command recently hosted a significant dialogue titled 'Samvad: Op Without Boundaries', concentrating on Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) and the incorporation of new technologies to tackle future security challenges.

Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Northern Command, delivered the keynote speech. He emphasized the necessity for improved synergy, innovation, and adaptability to effectively address the evolving contemporary threats. He pointed out that future conflicts will require seamless coordination across various domains such as land, air, cyber, space, and information. He also reaffirmed the Indian Army's dedication to technological advancement and operational preparedness.

The event included discussions led by renowned panelists and subject matter experts under the moderation of Lieutenant General Hariharan, General Officer Commanding of Strike One Corps. The experts, drawing from their vast operational and strategic expertise, explored how self-reliance (Atmanirbharta) and innovation can enhance India's readiness for future warfare.

After the panel discussions, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma examined the equipment display area, which presented state-of-the-art capability development projects by various Army units and defense innovators. He praised the strides made in advancing technological absorption and indigenous solutions within the Indian Army.

The 'Samvad' initiative signifies Northern Command's proactive approach to fostering intellectual engagement, collaboration, and innovation, which are crucial for shaping India's defense strategy in the era of hybrid and multi-domain warfare.
