The National Defence Academy's prestigious Passing Out Parade for the 150th Course is set to take place on 30 May 2026 at the renowned Khetarpal Parade Ground in Khadakwasla, Pune. This event will mark the conclusion of the Spring Term 2026, with approximately 355 cadets from the Army, Navy, and Air Force graduating from this esteemed tri-services military training institution.
General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM, Chief of the Army Staff, will serve as the Reviewing Officer for the parade, lending considerable significance to the ceremony as the cadets prepare to embark on their careers as officers in the Indian Armed Forces.
The Passing Out Parade is a pivotal moment for NDA cadets, symbolizing the successful completion of rigorous military training, academic education, and character-building. It is a time of pride and emotion as cadets march past the Quarterdeck for the last time before proceeding to their respective pre-commissioning academies.
Before the parade, the Convocation Ceremony for the 150th Course will occur on 29 May 2026 at Habibullah Hall, NDA. Dr. Kiran Bedi, IPS (Retd), former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, will be the Chief Guest at the event, addressing the graduating cadets and acknowledging their academic achievements at the Academy.
The National Defence Academy, under the leadership of Vice Admiral Anil Jaggi, AVSM, continues its tradition of producing future military leaders for the nation. Over the years, it has trained generations of officers who have served with distinction in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Recognized as a cornerstone of military leadership, the NDA is India's foremost tri-services training institution and ranks among the world’s top military academies. It offers a unique environment where cadets from all three services train together, embracing the principles of jointmanship and cultivating the essential qualities for leadership in the Defence Forces.
The NDA’s training program is crafted to develop cadets into responsible leaders of character. It integrates military training, academics, outdoor activities, and leadership development, emphasizing mental resilience, physical fitness, decision-making, and commitment to service.
The Passing Out Parade will feature a grand military display, inspection of contingents, medal presentations, aircraft fly-pasts, and the traditional Antim Pag ceremony. Antim Pag, or the final step, is a poignant moment symbolizing the cadets’ last march as NDA trainees before advancing to their service academies.
For the cadets’ families, the parade will be a memorable occasion, signifying the transformation of young cadets into future military leaders ready to serve the nation. It will also be a moment of pride for the Academy's instructors and staff who have been instrumental in shaping the cadets' paths.
The 150th Course Passing Out Parade will exemplify the National Defence Academy's highest traditions, where discipline, honour, courage, and service are paramount. As the cadets graduate from NDA, they will carry forward its legacy, poised for the next stage of their military careers in the service of the nation.
