NDA Cadet Aditya D Yadav Tragically Passes Away During Supervised Swimming Session

A tragic event unfolded at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla, where Cadet Aditya D Yadav, a first-term student, lost his life during a supervised swimming session on Thursday evening.

Official reports indicate that the incident occurred around 5 p.m. during a swimming practice session specifically organized for those needing additional instruction. Cadet Yadav was observed to be unresponsive while swimming across the pool.

Two lifeguards quickly intervened, rescuing him from the water. Despite the immediate application of CPR and on-site medical care, followed by a rapid transfer to Military Hospital in Khadakwasla, efforts to revive the cadet were unsuccessful.

The authorities at the NDA have expressed profound sorrow for this loss, extending their heartfelt condolences to Cadet Yadav's family. The cadet's next of kin and the civil police have been notified, and a formal investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
