NCC OTA Gwalior marks passing out parade of 129 ANOs and GCIs commissioned

The NCC Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gwalior, has concluded the Final Passing Out Parade of the PRCN JW-117 Course, formally marking the completion of training for 129 Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) and Group Commanders/Instructors (GCIs).

The ceremonial parade was reviewed by Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, GOC-in-C, Central Command. Lt Gen Virendra Vats, Director General, NCC, and Brig Sanjay Kumar Yadav, Commandant, NCC OTA, Gwalior, were also present for the occasion.

The parade brought to a close an intensive training programme designed to build leadership, discipline, professional competence and a strong sense of responsibility among the participants. The course was aimed at preparing them for their future duties within the National Cadet Corps framework.

With the completion of the course, the newly commissioned ANOs and GCIs are set to take on important responsibilities in NCC institutions. In their roles, they will guide, mentor and train cadets, with their work extending beyond drill and military instruction to include the development of leadership, confidence, discipline and patriotism among young people.

The training also placed emphasis on values such as integrity, service and leadership, with the aim of ensuring that the newly commissioned personnel emerge as role models for the cadets under their charge.

The event reflected the NCC’s continuing role in nation-building through the preparation of young citizens who are expected to grow into responsible, confident and committed members of society.

For the 129 ANOs and GCIs, the passing out parade marked both the completion of a demanding training period and the beginning of a new phase in which they will help shape motivated, disciplined and patriotic youth in line with the NCC’s broader mission.

The ceremony stood as a formal send-off for the officers, who now move forward as mentors, leaders and representatives of national service within the NCC system.
