Naib Subedar Hira Bahadur Pandey Falls to Martyrdom During Special Operation in North Kashmir

Naib Subedar Hira Bahadur Pandey, serving with the 32 Rashtriya Rifles, tragically lost his life during a special operation in the Rafiabad area of Baramulla district, north Kashmir. Reports indicate that he fell into a deep gorge while performing his duties.

Information suggests that late on Sunday night, security forces initiated a special operation in the Markoot Hamam forest, situated in the upper regions of Rafiabad.

During this mission, Naib Subedar Pandey reportedly slipped while ascending a steep section of the mountainous terrain, which led to his fall into a deep gorge. His fellow soldiers promptly began a rescue mission and successfully evacuated him from the area.

Despite their efforts, he had sustained severe injuries and was found in an unconscious state. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals declared him dead upon arrival.

The incident unfolded amid ongoing operations focused on counter-insurgency and area domination, which are being conducted by security forces in the forested areas of north Kashmir.

The sacrifice of Naib Subedar Pandey underscores the significant dangers encountered by soldiers who operate in challenging terrains and under harsh conditions to protect national security.
