Mukesh Singh Takes Office as Director General of Manipur Police
Imphal, June 1, 2026: Shri Mukesh Singh, IPS, assumed the role of Director General of Police for Manipur, introducing a new era of leadership for the region's police force. Upon his arrival at the Police Headquarters in Mantripukhri, he was greeted with a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the Manipur Police.
Shri Mukesh Singh takes on this significant position at a pivotal time for the state, where maintaining public order, ensuring effective coordination among security agencies, and fostering community trust are key priorities. His appointment follows his previous tenure as the police chief in Ladakh.
