MCTE Officers Achieve Top Five Finish at Future Crime Summit 2026 Hackathon

A team from the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) in Mhow, comprising Lieutenant Abhinav Mehrotra and Lieutenant Yashwant Singh, has achieved a significant milestone by placing among the top five teams at the Hackathon held during the Future Crime Summit 2026.

The event, organized by the Future Crimes Research Foundation (FCRF), a non-profit incubated by IIT-Kanpur, drew over 500 participants from various government bodies, technology sectors, and security domains. The summit aimed to tackle emerging challenges in future crimes through innovation, research, and technology-driven solutions.

Lts. Abhinav Mehrotra and Yashwant Singh showcased exemplary technical skills, creativity, and analytical prowess, competing against professionals from diverse backgrounds. Their success underscored the robust technological training and focus on innovation provided at MCTE.

The hackathon served as a forum for participants to create solutions for complex security challenges, featuring discussions and activities centered on emerging technologies, cybersecurity, digital threats, and future security frameworks. Professor Triveni Singh, Chief Mentor of the Future Crimes Research Foundation, presented the MCTE team with a Certificate of Excellence, recognizing their outstanding contribution, technical skills, and dedication to developing innovative solutions.
