Manipur Super-50 Program, Backed by Indian Army, Commends 44 Students for Clearing NEET and JEE 2025

A significant milestone was reached as the Manipur Super-50 program celebrated the achievements of 44 students who successfully passed the NEET and JEE 2025 exams. This initiative, mentored by the Indian Army’s Red Shield Division in collaboration with the North East Initiative Development Organization (NIEDO), has become a symbol of hope for underprivileged students in the area.

The ceremony, conducted in Bishnupur, recognized the students' accomplishments and underscored the transformative effects of providing free, high-quality education. Master Philem Jenin Singh emerged as a standout performer, attaining the top position in NEET 2025 in the state, and serving as an inspiration with his rise from humble beginnings to academic distinction.

Known as the Red Shield Centre for Excellence and Wellness, the Manipur Super-50 initiative offers intensive coaching and support to students aiming for competitive exams. The program aims to close socio-economic gaps and provide opportunities for students from remote, conflict-affected regions to compete on a national platform.

The event witnessed attendance from local leaders, Army officials, mentors, and proud families, celebrating not only academic achievements but also the perseverance and determination of the students. It also highlighted the evolving role of the Indian Army in Manipur, transitioning from a focus solely on security to active involvement in educational and social development.

The program boasts an 84% success rate in 2025, significantly exceeding the national NEET average of about 56%, demonstrating its substantial impact. It is viewed as a model that could be replicated for educational empowerment in other regions of the country.

The Indian Army reiterated its commitment to broadening the initiative, emphasizing that programs like Super-50, which focus on education, play a crucial role in peacebuilding, social advancement, and ensuring long-term stability in the region.
