Major General IS Gill Evaluates Readiness and Infrastructure in Kumaon Sector
During a visit to the Pithoragarh Military Station, Major General IS Gill, serving as the Chief of Staff for HQ Uttar Bharat Area, assessed the operational readiness and development of key infrastructure in the Kumaon Sector.

The senior officer engaged with troops on the ground, conveying a firm directive emphasizing uncompromising readiness, swift execution, and a primary focus on the mission. He praised the personnel for their professionalism and the high level of alertness they maintain while operating in the challenging terrain of the frontier.

Additionally, during his visit, Maj Gen Gill interacted with Panchahul Pulse Community Radio, underscoring the Indian Army’s efforts to promote Border Area Tourism and strengthen ties with frontier communities. This interaction highlighted the Army's dedication not only to national security but also to the socio-economic development and civil-military relations in border regions.
