Major General G Srinivas Takes Command of Telangana & Andhra Sub Area
Major General G Srinivas, VSM, took over as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Telangana & Andhra Sub Area (TASA) on July 1, 2026. In his new role, he becomes the Local Military Authority for the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Prior to taking command, Major General Srinivas paid tribute to the nation's fallen soldiers at the Veerula Smarak, reaffirming the Indian Army's dedication to honoring the sacrifices made by its servicemen.
With an impressive track record in both operational and administrative spheres, Major General Srinivas is poised to bring substantial leadership to the formation. His leadership is anticipated to enhance the Sub Area's operational readiness, military administration, and civil-military cooperation in the region.
