Major General APS Chahal Honors NCC Cadets at OTA Gwalior's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

The Diamond Jubilee of the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Gwalior was a notable occasion for the National Cadet Corps (NCC), marked by the presence of Maj Gen APS Chahal, SM, who serves as the Additional Director General of the West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate. During the event, he engaged with cadets and commended outstanding performers from his Directorate.

Maj Gen Chahal, while addressing the cadets, praised their dedication, discipline, and enthusiasm. He urged them to maintain their pursuit of excellence and sustain the rich traditions of the NCC. He highlighted character building, leadership, and national service as fundamental components of cadet training.

The felicitation ceremony recognized cadets and Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) for their commendable achievements and contributions to their groups.

Among the notable achievers, Lt Padma from the Darjeeling & Sikkim Group was lauded for her leadership, earning the prestigious Individual Gold Medal. Additionally, Ms Padma, a cadet from Khan College in the 6 Girls Battalion, Kharagpur Group, excelled in her ANO Course, receiving the Best in Special Skills Award.

These individuals were acknowledged for their commitment and the honor they brought to their respective groups.

The celebration underscored the NCC's significant role in fostering discipline, leadership, and patriotism among the youth nationwide. The recognition of these cadets' accomplishments during such a monumental event emphasized the Academy's role in nurturing future leaders of India.
