Major General Ajay Feroze Shah Takes Over as Andaman & Nicobar Command Chief of Staff

On January 7, 2026, Major General Ajay Feroze Shah was appointed as the Chief of Staff of the Andaman and Nicobar Command, succeeding Biplab Hota, VSM, during a formal ceremony.

Major General Shah, an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, possesses extensive operational experience and has been involved in numerous joint and integrated military operations. His career is marked by significant command and staff roles, positioning him well to make substantial contributions to India's sole tri-service theatre command.
